And it looks better than ever! The new 2013 R-Line CC will have a more aggressive front bumper with larger air inlets, and some integrated fog lights. It will also feature some sporty side skirts, along with tinted tail lights (which are already LED's). Of course, the car will sit on some 18-inch alloys, and will feature VW's sporty aluminum pedals. Throw in stainless steel accent pieces, and R-Line badges all around, and you've got yourself a heck of a car! The cars will be offered in both manual transmission, and DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox); with the DSG cars featuring a nice paddle-shift system. This will be mated to the same 2.0 liter TSI (Turbo Straight Injection) engine currently offered in the CC. Expect to see this car hit the shores of the U.S. market later this year!!!!

Safety First!
Over the next two months, we are going to be focusing on the safety aspects of each of our cars. With the upcoming rainy season, you can't know too much about the technologies keeping you on the road! We'll be jumping back and forth between blogs, but I'll be sure to provide links to follow with.
One of the most important things about our vehicles is that we don't sell safety features! All of our vehicles, from base model to fully loaded, have all of our safety features packed in! That's right, there are no safety options. One of the most important of these features is called the Crumple Zone. The Crumple Zones are located in front of, and to the rear of the safety cage (where the driver and passengers sit). These areas are built with strategically placed grooves and ridges that are designed to collapse on impact. The crumble up much in the same way as an accordion. The idea behind this is that much of the energy from the impact will be absorbed by the crumple zone instead of transferred to the occupants.
This is an important feature for both front and rear-end collisions. The concept ripples the energy of impact around the outside of the car, while the occupants remain in the intact safety cage, protected from major injury! Below is an example of this on Volkswagen CC. Thats the way the Vee-Dub crumples!

Beauty Isn't Just Sheet-Metal Deep
The 2013 CC has been completely re-designed, and with body lines like these, it's a car you won't mistake for any other. This new model sports a redesigned front and rear exterior with Bi-Xenon headlights. The car also features LED taillights, and available LED Daytime Running Lights and Adaptive Front-lighting System (lights that turn when you do). Of course, it will be sporting our famous 2.0 TSI motor pumping out 200 hp and 207 lbs/ft of torque. However if thats not enough, you can always upgrade to the 3.6L V6 that makes 280 hp and 265 lbs/ft of torque. The car will also sport an available 4Motoion all wheel drive system, and an available 6-speed DSG transmission with Tiptronic and Sport mode.
The chassis will be held up on a 4-corner independent sport suspension. To keep things cooled off on the interior, you can use the Dual-zone automatic climate control. Make sure you keep your hands on the wheel, though. The Touchscreen Premium VIII Stereo with HD Radio also sports Bluetooth technology, and streaming audio. The biggest interior change, however, will be the new 5-passenger seating capacity (yes the CC seats 5 now!). Now the CC isn't just a beautiful car, it's a beautiful idea!
